It all began in mid-January in Zakopane, where the Festival of Black-and-White Photography was held. The festival "spread" around the town and its vicinity-it was present wherever it was possible to display the photographs. The event involved not only photographers and people linked with photography, but also local residents. Everyone wanted to have a small gallery at their house, so photographs were hung in all sorts of places.
